How do you evolve a Pokemon?

most Pokemon evolve but some don't and most evolve at a certain lvl like ill use the Pokemon shinx for example shinx evolves at lvl 15 but some Pokemon evolve by trading them like machoke for example if you trade a machoke it will evolve but some other Pokemon evolve by giving them a certain item like gligar for example in order to evolve a gligar you need to give it a razor claw but some Pokemon evolve by trading it while holding an item wich in order to do that just give a Pokemon a certain item and trade it while its holding that item like porygon in order to evolve porygon you need to make it hold an upgrade then trade the porygon and it will evolve but some Pokemon have many evolutions like eevee for example eevee is a normal type but has many evolutions wich are glaceon,flareon,espeon,leafeon,and my favourite- jolteon and in order to evolve an eevee you have to give it a certain stone to make it evolve into a certain type and you need a stone to evolve an eevee and some Pokemon evolve by friendship like riolu for example in order to evolve a riolu it has to like you enough and lastly some Pokemon evolve in a certain area like nosepass for example nosepass evolves in Mnt.Cornet (Mount Cornet) if you train and lvl up a nosepass in Mnt.Cornet then the nosepass will evolve! lol i hope all that helps!
