How do you evolve Pokemon with happiness?

You can hatch any Pokemon egg by putting it somewhere in your party and walking 3000-5000 steps with it, although the amount of steps depends on the rarity of the Pokemon inside. After the required amount of steps has been reached, a sign will come up saying "What?" "The Pokemon egg is hatching!" or something along those lines and your Pokemon egg will hatch!
