After you have the Island Medallion, leave the Mech and exit from the Hibernation Room (the room you are in). Go all the way to the right and through the door. Go down to the 2nd to last floor, all the way to the right. (the bouncy flower is on the opposite side)
There is a shortcut if you use the shaft to the far right, as it bypasses all of the Mech elevators from the battle section. Jump over the elevator shaft and into this hole, falling all the way to the bottom. The exit door is to the left.
If you find yourself at a dead end, at the bottom of the storeroom, you need only go up one level using the bouncy "elevator plant", then jump right to the exit.

Then once you complete that then a ladder will pop up and then you climb up the ladder and exit through the door at the top once you have done that walk across the vine and get the mech crank...or what ever it is called....then you get the steam motor (if you dont already have it) and go back to the "Sully's Steam Powered Phamelria"and use both of the items(Mech crank and Steam motor) to finish the "MECH".
