First you need to find the manual for the minitool partition for the wizard.
Just use a magic partition manager to help you. You can create, resize, move, format, delete, shrink, extend partiton freely with this nice partition tool. Such as miniaide magic partition, minitool partition wizard(free), you can experience the cool magic partition right away.
if Disk Management can help you, then you have to try third party partition manager like partitionguru to extend system partition.
Move/Resize Partition falls into to three scenarios:Extend PartitionShrink PartitionMove PartitionScenario 1: Extend PartitionIf there is an unallocated space neighboring to the partition to be extended, you can direct extend partition.1. Launch MilfordSoft Partition Star.2. Select and right click the partition to be extended, click "Move/Resize" from the drop-down menu. (If the unallocated space is behind the target partition, drag the right end of the partition handle rightwards to the largest extend; If the unallocated space is before the target partition, drag the left end of the partition handle leftwards to the largest extend). After that, click "OK".3. Click "Apply" to execute pending operation. If no unallocated space for extending partition is available.1. Launch MilfordSoft Partition Star.2. Shrink an existing partition to get an unallocated space for extending partition.Example 1: If the existing partition is behind the target partition which is to be extended, drag the left end of the partition handle rightwards to a desirable extend;Example 2: If the existing partition is before the target partition, drag the right end of the partition handle leftwards to a desirable extend. After that, click "OK" and you will get an unallocated space.3. Follow steps of "If there is an unallocated space neighboring to the partition to be extended, you can direct extend partition".Scenario 2: Shrink Partition1. Launch MilfordSoft Partition Star.2. Select and right click the partition you want to shrink, click "Move/Resize" from the drop-down menu.3. Drag the left end of the partition handle rightwards or right end of the partition handle leftwards to shrink partition. After that, click "OK".4. Click "Apply" to execute pending operations.Scenario 3: Move Partition to extend partitionIn scenario 1, we have said that we can directly extend partition if there is unallocated space neighboring to the partition you want to extend. What if the unallocated space is not adjacent to the partition you want to extend? Now, we need to Move Partition. Here we will show how to move the unallocated space behind E: to be adjacent to out target partition C: which is to be extended.1. Launch MilfordSoft Partition Star.2. Select and right click E: , click "Move/Resize" from the drop-down menu.3. Drag the partition handle rightwards to make the unallocated nearer to the target partition you want to extend.4. Now the unallocated space is behind D: and before E:. Select and right click "D:", then click "Move/Resize" from the drop-down menu.5. Drag the partition handle rightwards and then the unallocated space will be adjacent to C:. Now you can extend the C: with the unallocated space.6. Click "Apply" to execute pending operations.
Use the Fdisk command....
You will have to add additional hard drive and create dynamic volume which will allow you to add your new hard drive to a current partition. No, I mean use the free space of one partition to extend the non-contiguous partition, I learned AOMEI Partition Assistant could do this operation, here is the tutorial : disk-partition.com/help/align-partition.html
UEFI is the recommended standard initiated by Intel for new type PC firmware architecture. This standard possessing significant advantages to the familiar PC BIOS, such as, more powerful error-correcting performance, better compatibility, more friendly UI and stronger expandability, is generally accepted and recognized as PC BIOS successor. Though almost perfect, nevertheless, worries still exist when users are hesitating whether they should employ this standard to boot OS, for instance, how to manage hard drive partitions under this standard. What I want to state here is that users should never have such kind of concerns. Let's take Windows 7 for example. After boot Windows 7 with UEFI, partition management can be realized by using a professional partition magic software supporting UEFI.Partition management under UEFI-booted WindowsSpeaking of partition magic software supporting UEFI and helping manage partitions under UEFI-booted Windows 7, MiniTool Partition Wizard must be the undeniable option. This partition magic software fully supports UEFI and boasts of a selection of easy-to-use partition management functions aiding users easily managing Windows 7 partitions. These functions include Format Partition, Move/Resize Partition, Extend Partition, Merge Partition, Split Partition, Copy Partition and Change Cluster Size, etc.Partition Magic software is once such software you can use. Launch this program to enter the main interface. Select and right click any partition, and then you will see the function list as the below-exhibited image shows:User can employ corresponding partition management functions and easily complete all common UEFI-booted Windows 7 partition management according to your Windows 7 partition management needs. With incessant improvements, UEFI standard will inextricably be a tide and replace PC BIOS. MiniTool Partition Wizard, a UEFI-supported partition magic program, is the best helper for UEFI-booted Windows 7 partition management.
Resize/Move partition, i am using EaseUS Partition Master.Extend partition, especially extend system partition to maximize computer performance as well as better manage hard disk usage. By the way, you may find that there is a low disk space problem on a certain hard disk partition.Shrink partition for different usage.Make the unallocated space behind the partition you want to extend by moving partition.Copy partition with fast file-by-file copy to protect your data.Copy entire hard disk to another or migrate OS from HDD to SSD without Windows reinstallation.Upgrade system disk to a bigger one with one-click.Support GPT disk/partition copy.Provide option to shut down the computer after applying any operation. This function is especially useful when you copy the disk which contains the operating system. And Partition Master Free 10.5 is just released, allows to extend C drive (system partition), settle low disk space problem, manage disk space easily on MBR and GPT disk.
You can format drives and partitions that are not in use by the system, but you can not extend the size of a partition.
Disk Management
What have you done to remove this low disk space problem? In my experiences, the ways for you to resolve this low disk space problem could be different according to your different conditions:* If there is too unnecessary files or programs stored on this C partition, clean them all up to free some free space.* If there is enough free space on other partition, like D, E or F partitions, you can open Disk Management, delete or shrink the partition with free space and add the free space to your C partition there.* If the free space is not adjacent to your C partition, you also can use a partition resizing tool to extend this partition, like GParted, IM-Magic Partition Resizer Free and Active Partition Master, etc.* But, if there is no any free space left on the same physical drive, just buy a larger one to replace the old one.No matter what your conditions are, just save all partition data on other places in case of data loss.Read more information here:partition-magic-server-2003.blogspot.com/2013/11/resize-server-2003-partition-free.html
