In FSX while in flight, press ALT to bring up the control bar menus at the top of the screen. Select "options" hit "simulation rate e.g. X2, X3 etc, to revert to normal, press normal. Not sure about other flight sim versions. Cheers and hope it helps someone
Google Earth flight simulator only has the front cockpit view with the option to rotate pilot viewpoint by pressing Arrow keys + Alt (slow) or CTRL (fast). This moves the viewpoint in the direction of the arrow. This is not a fully-functional flight simulator. If you need a 3rd person view then you'd have to try X-Plane or another product. As an alternative, there is Xavier Tassin's Google Earth Flight Simulator, which uses Google Earth web browser plugin. This provides several aircraft choices with a 3rd person view. IN flight sim the Flight Acceleration mode is used to make the game move faster (similar to fast forward) This is ok in the normal flight mode but is NOT acceptable in the multi flight i.e. on IVAO etc

You can change the fly-to speed in google earth to move more slowly or go warp speed when flying to a location. The speed can be adjusted under Tools/Options/Navigation. In you want to go fast in Google Earth's flight simulator then you press the PgUp key to accelerate. Other tricks to explorer faster can be done using the various hot-keys for various functions.
