Menstrual cups are internal like tampons but safer and more hygienic so can be worn for 12 hours, including with any flow and overnight without need to alternate with pads. Cups are more comfortable than tampons or pads and don't leak like tampons or pads.

Best choice could be to wear a tampon but, if you don't feel comfortable with that then you could wear a pad with your swim suit and just hang out or tan.

You don't need to have an 'excuse' just tell your class and teacher you're on your period - being female is not something you have to hide! The sooner you get past this idea that your period is a big shameful secret the easier your life will be! If you don't feel comfortable using tampons there are other options like menstrual sponges, menstrual cups, or softcups that you can use too.
Can feel a stuck tampon in your stomach?
No. The tampon is right at the opening of the vaginal entrance - it can not reach your stomach. And even if it could it would be too small to feel. You have both ovaries and uterus and intestines but I bet you can't feel them. A tampon is smaller.

There are time if not using a tampon that if you cough or laugh or stand from sitting it can feel like its streaming out but you will be having a heavy period for this to happen, so in a way, like a peeing feeling but not from the area where pee comes from.
