yes there is a diagram at gunpartscorp.com and to take it apart first remove the mag then clear the firearm open the slide and lock it open there is a button on top in front of the rear sight that looks like a pin depress tha with the slide locked it the rear postition . then remove the grips and drive the pin out of the lower part of the frame slowly remove the punch and then the back strap it pulls out then downward then the slide will come off. note do not take any further apart unless your are a pro they are a pain. repeat process in reverse to put back together . good luck
The Iver Johnson New Trailsman was made between 1985-1991.That is the best that I can do.The serial numbers per year of production are not available in the public domain.

The Trailsman was introduced by Iver Johnson in 1986. If you are a new buyer, beware! These do not have a good reputation except as a plinking pistol. From all I've heard, the sights are not adjustable, and field stripping/cleaning requires a steady hand and a saint's patience.
