no there isn't in nintendogs. You have to earn a certain number of points to get a certain breed. The number of points that needs to be earned for a breed is different in every version of Nintendogs. The dalmation and jack Russell terrier need special items to unlock them. The dalmation needs the fireman's hat and the jack Russell book gets the jack Russell terrier in your kennel.
