Marksman doesn't list the cocking effort but believe me it's very little. The pistol only fires a 220 FPS and that is slow.

Check the website at gunpartscorp. Look under jennings, and there is a schematic and parts list for the J-25.

I have a high standard r 108 parts list that came with this pistol new the parts list dates 11/68 so i think it is from the 60s

You probably can't. Marksman doesn't list all of the 45 plus BB guns that they have made over the years on their website. You most likely have an older one not listed. You need it go to a book store and find a "Bluebook" on airguns.
Most automobile dealerships will give you a vehicle parts list and diagrams. Many auto-parts stores will get you the parts lists and diagrams.
