To find the average or mean of a set of numbers, you must first add all the numbers together. Then, divide that sum by how many numbers were used.
Here is an example...
2, 2, 2, 3, 4, 6, 6, 7
Now let's add these numbers together...
2 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 6 + 6 + 7 = 32
The sum is 32. Now, divide 32 by how many numbers were used which was 8.
32 divided by 8 equals 4.
The average of 2, 2, 2, 3, 4, 6, 6, 7 is 4.
trial 1: 23 trial 2: 45 == == trial 3: 80 you then add the #'s up and divied them, by how many #'s they're are. so.. your answer will be in this qs 4.333333........... and so on
