To get Beedrill on Pokemon Platinum you need to evolve a Kakuna. To find Kakuna you first need Pokemon LeafGreen in the GBA slot of the DS. Once Pokemon LeafGreen is in the GBA slot Kanuna and Weedle should start to appear in Eterna Forest.
Action replay ds only unless trade
You can find Beedrill in the National Park during the Bug Contest. Once in the bug contest, keep searching until you find a Beedrill. Capture it and you will be able to keep it.
Wild Beedrill cannot be found in the wild and only Weedle or Kakuna can be caught in the wild. Catch Kakuna then train it to level 10 to evolve it to Beedrill.
Beedrill cannot be found in the wild in this game. You'll have to evolve a Kakuna, or trade with someone
Kakuna evolves into Beedrill starting at level 10.
Beedrill is a Bug/Poison-type bee that evolves from Kakuna at Lv.10, which evolves from Weedle at Lv.7. Beedrill is rivals with Butterfree.
From personal experiance, teach beedrill cut( you find it on the ground on one level) then go to the route where joey catches a rattata and put beedrill near small tree, then at the end, Prof oak gives you flash and you equip it on beedrill and go to the cave ( You need 20,000 to do this)

Beedrill is #15 in the national pokedex, and it is a Bug-Poison type Pokemon.
