You first have to have the message on the bathroom doors, then you take the motorcycle and ride through the woods following what's written.

After you find the house, you explore it. (Make sure you have the lantern first!)

You'll find the jersey Devil after you go back downstairs (with the grappling hook) and follow it outside. You'll then see it in the trees.
