If a personal check has the below details properly filled without any overwriting/editing/smudging then the check can be considered good:
- Name of the check payee (Your name)
- Date of the Check
- Amount in numbers and words
- Signature (Of the person issuing the check)
- Any edit/overwrite should be countersigned by the check issuer.
Even if all these details are present, a check could not be cashed because the issuing persons account does not have sufficient balance but if these are all present correctly, apart from the one reason of lack of balance, the check cannot be rejected.
