I was on assistance and my mother claim my kids on her taxes until they were old enough to work themselves. I just found out about it. Is there anything I could do about it?
my question is someone has been using my kids on there taxes every year with out me knowing and i really need to put a red flag on it and also i need to know who's using them and there social security cause this is really getting to be a problem
You do not have to file a joint tax return if you are married. Each year you may elect to file separate or joint. If you file separate, the children you have can only be claimed by one spuse, but the children may be split between the two returns if you choose. Other things like mortgage interest paid can only be claimed by one spuuse. By filing separate you will generally owe and pay more taxes than filing Joint.
no
Unfortunately no. You would have to had worked in the year 2008 to file taxes. In order to claim your children you would have to work and file taxes.
Yes you include all your kids in your taxes.

Depends....if you supported the kids for more than 6 months during the year then no, he cannot. Well, he can, but he will get audited and have to prove support for the time in question. If you didn't support the kids for more than 6 months, then no, sorry you can't claim them, unless you can prove you are still supporting the kids. If this doesn't help, contact a local CPA and find out your options.
A great website that someone can use to find some great ideas for kids is a site called Parenting. On this website someone can find a variety of craft ideas as well as some great recipes and videos for kids.
It is my understanding that my Federal Law, you may file as Head of Household and claim the children on your taxes. I have three children and my husband has been out of the house since Feb. 2008. I claimed them all and am getting a $9000 return.
He claimed on Total Divas that he doesn't want to have kids.
No. Two kids is OK. You never have to kill a child. If you are thinking about it, please find someone you can talk to. There will always be someone who can help.

Your mom had 162... when I finished
send a letter telling the IRS he is head of household and you will not be claiming your kids on your taxes. you will probably need to give them your social security number, then you will need to make copies of their social security cards to be sent in with his IRS forms
