Unfortunately you'll have to get your hands on a Linux distro and install it to a memory stick seeing as you don't like disks (me neither actually).
From there, you'll have to install a program called chntpw.
-The easiest way to do both of these things is to get a hold of the Backtrack 4 beta (http://www.remote-exploit.org/backtrack_download.HTML). There is a newer 'pre-final' but that's more difficult to install. Their forums and a little googling will tell you how to install it and use chntpw.
Other than that, there's not much else you can do (besides giving it to someone else to fix)

Good Luck!
You find it out by asking the administrator, a.k.a. the person in charge of the computer. Computer passwords are encrypted and very difficult to obtain. This was done on purpose so that regular users don't have access to elevated permissions. A computer will not openly display important information such as an account password.
It will be on the back of the instruction manual
Hi Gary, please try the password 'admin'. If that password doesn't work, try using a pen or other small, pointy object to hold the 'reset' button on the back for 30 seconds or more. Then, try using the blank password and the 'admin' password again to see if this resolves your issue!
It depends what Operating System you are running. On Windows, you can use the Ophcrack password retrieval tool to get back the admin password. If it is a BIOS pass (just checking), open the case and remove the password chip from the motherboard for 15 seconds, then replace it. On Mac, contact Apple. On Linux, there are many ways, but in terminal, you can use your pass to access the Superuser terminal, from which you may be able to change the admin pass. Hope this helped!
The default username and password for a Linksys modem router should be "admin" and "admin", the same thing for both. You can reset your router by using the reset button the back of it.
A Linksys router can be reset by pressing the reset button on the back panel for thirty seconds. Once that is done, every setting is restored back to factory, so to log in, leave the user name blank and use "admin" as the password.
Also i have just realized that apparently its a different password for getting onto the advanced page and the default is admin (username) and admin (pass) and i believe i have tried this before but never thought i would need to access this again so i have not written the details down so how do i recover my password or set it back to the default?
The default password for the D-Link 624 is admin as the username and the password is left blank. If you have changed the password you can reset the router by inserting a paperclip or pen tip into the reset button beside the power cord on the back of the router for 10-15 seconds. After resetting the router the username and password will be reset to the default state above.
how do i get my password back on zwinky
You have to type your email in and they will email your password back to you.
None! Or you can take all disks out or they can be broken So always back your work up!!!
You need to access your routers interface by logging into 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. After doing so it will ask you for a user name and password. This is usually admin/password, admin/admin, admin/1234. If none of these work for you, you can call your router manufacture to obtain the default user name and password. Once logged into the router you will need to locate the wireless setup tab, after making your selection you will see "wireless security" with the WEP information. These are general instructions because it's uncertain which router you have and all interfaces are different. If you have trouble following these steps you can also reset the router with the reset button on the back. Don't do this unless you have the installation CD because you will need to reconfigure your router after (re-run the install CD). During the process of reinstalling you will be prompt to enter your SSID and security encryption. From there you can select WEP and generate a new WEP key.
If you get banned forever there is no way to get your password back.
