You can find out the status of your tax return in several ways. One, if you're expecting a refund, call the Refund Hotlineat 1-800-829-1954.
Two, if you're expecting a refund, at www.irs.gov at the Right Middle Box (Filing and Payments) click on 'Where's my refund?' or at the Lower Left Box (Online Services) click on 'Check on your refund'. The next screen, 'Where's My Refund Home', has a link to 'Where's My Refund' Status Screen. At that screen, you enter you social security number, your filing status, and the exact whole dollar amount of your refund as shown on your tax return. The next screen tells whether and when your refund was deposited.
Three, you also can call the main IRS number, 1-800-829-1040, for information on your return.
You can obtain a free 1040ez form and submit it to the irs online by searching them on government websites. You can ask friends and family and they can direct you to where you can find them.

Your gross and net income for the previous year is required on a 1040EZ form.

Form 1040EZ is the easiest of the three income tax forms someone can use to file their federal income taxes. If taxable income is less than $100,000 AND you don't claim any dependents AND you file as single or are married filing jointly, then fill out Form 1040EZ.

A typo, probably. The 1040EZ form is a US Internal Revenue Service tax form. It's the shortest and simplest form, but can only be used by certain people. Among other things, 1040EZ filers cannot have more than a certain amount of income from interest, people with dependents (other than a spouse) cannot use the 1040EZ, and people who want to itemize deductions cannot use the 1040EZ.
