If it's the Iver Johnson M1 Carbine, they were manufactured from the mid 1960's through the mid 70's. Sorry I can't be more specific.
Bill Goforth is the absolute authority on the Iver Johnson revolvers. He can be found on various gun forums such as antiqueguns.com . I rarely defer questions, but on H&R or Iver Johnson Bill has me beat hands down. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Iver Johnson started making firearms in 1870 as Johnson and Bye. I don't know exactly when they made their first 38 caliber gun, but at least as early as 1893, and they continued to manufacture .38 revolvers until they closed in 1978. A great source of information on Iver Johnson firearms is The book "Iver-Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Firearms 1871-1993" by W. Goforth
The Iver Johnson New Trailsman was made between 1985-1991.That is the best that I can do.The serial numbers per year of production are not available in the public domain.
There were 3 different models of the champion shotgun in 16 gauge that were produced. The Iver Johnson champion top snap model was made from 1905-1908.The champion model 36 was made from 1909-1922.The champion single barrel was made from 1923-1978.If your shotgun has a serial number and a prefix letter before the serial number,we should be able to identify the year of production. Please include this in your description to help better identify the year of production.
