One program that saves files with this extensions is the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS,) but there are other programs that use this extension as well. See related links for details. d added You will need to associate the file with the program which created it, if you do not know what program created it you will need to do a search on your system for *.sps (assuming that the file extension is sps if not just search for sps). The folders and programs which are associated with that file should be present in the list that is returned. Once you know what program the file is created by then you need to navigate to the file and right click and select 'open with' then select that program from the list. The other thing you could do is navigate to the the file and right click on it then select 'properties' then click through the tabs to find out what company the file is associated with. There may be a link there that you can click on to get to that company if not search the net to find it and look on their site for a program to open the file with.<-these are assuming you are using a windows based operating system -

Unsupported file types are file extensions that Windows does not know what to do with. This means that there is no program installed on the computer associated with a particular file type. To open an unsupported file type you must first install the program that the file uses to work with it.

If the files do not have pictures and Windows cannot open the file, you will need to download a program that is associated with the file. Some files, like PDFs, require a special program to open them.
