Generally the speedometer cable starts at the transmission and ends at the instrument cluster. Visually inspect from the firewall in the area of the instrument cluster and track back to the transmission. You should be able to find it with no problems.

There is no speedometer cable, it is electronic.
There isn't a speedometer cable. There is a speedometer sensor, where it is located I am still trying to find out. On the tranny or in the speedometer or somewhere else?
In a 1993 Dodge Shadow, the RPM cable, which is part of the vehicle's speedometer system, is typically located near the transmission. It connects the transmission to the speedometer gauge on the dashboard. To access it, you may need to lift the vehicle and remove any protective covers or panels around the transmission area. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for detailed instructions and safety precautions.
would like to know where the speedometer sensors are on a 1999 villager
Speedometers are not driven with a cable anymore, they are electronic.
Most of the time, the speedometer cable breaks, and you replace it. The best way to find out, is to unscrew it from the transmission, and see if you can pull the cable out from the casing. If it checks out to be good, then it will be the drive gear inside the transmission, or the speedometer itself.
You can find the speedometer cable right above the differential on the transmission. This is located where the passenger axle plugs in.?æ
firstly you find the part off the speedo cable that's broken and then you replace it with a new part then you speedometer will work
It's the thick black cable running into the firewall located next to the master cylinder. The one end plugs directly into the speedometer, the other end directly into the top part of tranny.
Check the rear end. My Ford F-150 has the speedometer connection on the rear end housing.
I can't provide images, but you can find pictures of the speedometer cable for an '89 Honda Prelude by searching online through automotive forums, parts websites, or image search engines. The speedometer cable connects the speedometer gauge to the transmission, allowing it to display the vehicle's speed accurately. If you're looking for a replacement, consider checking with auto parts stores or online retailers that specialize in Honda parts.
On the top of the transmission. I leads into the fire wall so it should be easy to find.
