The serial number on my Colt's King Cobra is right where it is on many double action Colts. Open the cylinder and look at the frame just above the crane and below the cut-out for the ejector rod. There it is. On my King Cobra, the serial number is also marked on the crane itself, juxtaposed from the one on the frame.
You list a sn that does not follow conventional numbering for the Cobra. You will have to call Colt to find out when it was made. You do not mention the finish, type of grip material, sights, box, papers, accessories, etc.. It could be in the 100-1000 USD or more range.

The Model 1 uses standard .45 Colt (not .45 Auto- .45 ACP) and 2.5 inch .410 shotshells. However- this is a fairly small handgun- and the .45 Colt is not a small cartridge. You will likely find recoil very unplesant with standrd .45 Colt ammo. Several companies do load a reduced power "cowboy shooting" version of the .45 Colt, which would reduce some of the kick.
