One of the simplest and most efficient ways to find criminal charges (provided you live close enough to the location) is to go the county courthouse that processes criminal cases and report to their Clerk of Courts, with the name of the person, and possibly date of birth (although not absolutely necessary) they will be able to tell about what criminal case files exist for the that person. It is a matter of Public Record, there is no confidentiality in adult criminal cases. In most counties, you may view the material for free and would most likely be charged nominal fees for copying documents.
The Online Criminal Background searches can be costly and there is no guarantee that you will receive factual information. Good Luck!

∙ 13y agoActually it's a two-step process. First you get a record from your state police agency that stores such records whenever a person is arrested by an agency in that state. Next, using the information, which often doesn't have case dispo information, go to the Clerk's office in the county of that person's arrest to see how the case was disposed. The state repository record will have a case number for each case that you can call the county Clerk's office and refer to for dispo information.
