You can find the blue book value of any car or motocycle on the Kelly Blue Book website: kbb.com

However, a 86-87 Honda Rebel 450 is a VERY rare machine, it was only made for two years. The bike itself is VERY durable, pretty much bullet proof if you take care of it. The value of these bikes is more based off supply and demand then what the Kelly Blue Book would state. Since they were only made for two years the supply is very limited. Now with that said, a basket case isn't going to go for a whole lot unless there is a lot of the original parts there, a Nighthawk 450 uses a lot of similar parts but some things are not interchangeable so the more Rebel specific parts there are the more value there is. Ironically pretty much nothing from the 250 Rebel will fit on the 450, it's a bigger bike, not just in displacement but it's a completely different frame. To a collector a pristine example may get as much as $3500 if the miles are low and the condition is near mint. We bought a very good example of one for $1400 in excellent running condition and sold it for almost exactly the same amount after adding another 25,000 miles to it. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if one came available it was the perfect size for my wife and could keep up with my Harley with out much trouble (it's got a 6 speed and likes to rev).
