Mossberg does not have a site for determining serial number/date references.
There is none on the Mossberg 151M due to the date of manufacture
Contact Mossberg customer service. If the shotgun does not have a serial number (not required until 1968) they will not be able to date it.
Contact Mossberg Customer Service through their website. That rifle was made by Mossberg for Montgomery Wards. It is a Mossberg Model 742.
It was made by mossberg or savage for montgomery ward. I'm guessing the m means it was made by mossberg and if it doesn't have a serial number it is pre 1968 because mossberg didn't put serial numbers on their long guns pre that date.
The model 190 Mossberg shotgun was manufactured in the 1950s. The exact date would depend on the serial number of the item.
Couple of problems- Spelling is Mossberg. Prior to the 1968 Gun Control Act, Mossberg .22s did not have a serial number, except for a few made for the US Military. The serial numbers I HAVE seen did not include letters. Is it possible that you have the Model number- since there WAS a Model 51M? Mossberg is still in business, and may be contacted through their customer service website. At the bottom of this page is a link to an excellent blog on Mossberg .22s that may help give you a range of dates for a particular model. PS- I collect older Mossberg 22s- they are GREAT shooting rifles.
yes you can
2006 if it is using the Browning date system
1994 based on using the 2000 minus the first 2 digits of the serial number. Explained on the marlin forums
You should be able to contact Winchester and see if you may find the year of production by serial number thru there archives. If not I do have the manufacture dates of the first 250,000 made. You will need to have your serial number available to research the date of manufacture.
I can't tell you the exact production date, but I have one with serial #G563xxx that I purchased in the mid 1970s, so I would think your gun was made in the early to mid '70s.
