Most currency issued before 2002 by a country in the euro zone of the EU will have very little value because those countries withdrew their old money and replaced it with euros that year. There are some large banks in the EU where you can still redeem old coins and bills but if you're outside of the EU will cost more to redeem than it's worth.
Valuing much older money requires a lot of research. You'll have to determine what the denominations are, what countries issued the money, and what dates they have - not always easy, especially because the money will be labelled in the local languages which may not even use the same alphabet!
