The Pokemon change every time you use Mystery Gift. To unlock the Mystery Gift, you must go to any PokeMart and look at the piece of paper below the cashier. You have 4 word slots, and you put in "LINK TOGETHER WITH ALL," and the cashier will tell you about Mystery Gift. Now you can use Mystery Gift with the Wireless Adapter, which comes in the packaging with FireRed or LeafGreen. It does not work with a Link Cable.

If u want a a smeargle in altering cave then this is how i obtained it without any cheat.

first as u enter go 2 steps in front then 2 steps behind.then continue this 9 times.after that 4 steps to the right and1 step to the left.after u've don that something will come down saying "wow you've unlocked th braille.then press a and voila, there appears a smeargle.if it doesnt appear in th first chance then repeat the steps again and its sure to come.hope this helped.if you defeat the smeargle. it wont appear again even if u repeat the st3p.
