How do you fix Pokemon Gold version?

I don't know what you mean about "Fix" because you haven't stated whats wrong with it. But I can tell you the most common problem with the Gold and Silver games.

If the game is not saving properly it may be for several reasons

1. The game hasn't been taken care of properly , and it may have been damaged.

2. The game may have been a fake.

3. The Internal battery has run dry, and the game has lost the ability to save or load data. (probably this one)

4. Game Shark, If you've used a Cheating device, it may have damaged the game.

5. You've done a glitch (E.G. Clone glitch) that could possibly damage the game's systems.

If you've Just brought the game, than it may be the first two. If the case is not glittery and Golden, than it's most likely been tampered with.

There would be know way to fix it easily.

If you've had the game for more than seven years, or have played it ALOT, then it's most defiantly the third one.

My Pokemon silver and gold have suffered the same fate, the Battery that Allows the game to run properly, has died, and needs to be replaced. This is mainly because of the Internal clock that is Constantly running, it is a problem in ALL Gold and Silver games, and there is no way of permanently fixing the problem.

What you can do though, is take the game apart, and gently take out the Battery, and replace it with a new one, however, all the data will be lost. Word of Warning though, the battery is usually Soldered (Glued with Metal) in place, so it will be difficult taking out the battery.

Quick tip: If you do this, DO NOT use a Magnetic screw driver... it will pull the components out of place and DESTROY the game completely

If you've used a cheating device too much, then there is nothing I can do. A code like, Infinite HP, can cause serious harm to a game, because it gets very confused.

Also, forcing a nonexistent Pokemon into play like ????? the glitch Pokemon, can really do some harm as well.

If you've done a potentially Dangerous Glitch such as, the Clone glitch, which involves turning off while saving at the right moment, is always a bad thing in my books.

Before my Silver Died due to the battery Snuffing it, I did a clone glitch, and had used a Single Game shark code (Infinite master balls) The results were more than Master balls and a cloned Pokemon.

I had a box mess up 5 of my Pokemon, 2 of which, were my most precious. Shining Lugia, and My Pikachu. Never hacked/glitched a game since...

But anyway, if none of this helped I apologize but number 3 is usually Always the problem. these games have been out for almost 10 years now, more than a life expectancy of an older game. Good news though... Is the Arrival of two brand new remakes, Heart gold and Soul Silver for the DS! 45 Days until Japanese release!
