The reset code is on the back of the radio,
You have to call a Volvo dealership and give them your VIN number. Or go through their website.
With an OBD2 code reader
you must use an ODB-2 code reader/ code eraser. You first should read the code or codes and write them down. These tell you what is wrong with the car. (such as code p0401, which is the common air pump failure code)You can get a cheapo reader/clearer at harbor freight for about $25 or a decent one for about $75-100.
Leave the radio turned on in this condition for several hours. Then enter a proper security code for your radio. If you don't have the code, you will need to contact a Volvo dealer.
The only way to fix the Volvo-503 code is to take it to the dealership and have them fix it for you.
You have to get the code at a Volvo dealer. They will need your VIN number, and usually don't charge anything for the code, helps if you are a regular customer.
it is the ignition coil is the problem replace it p0135 for Volvo not sure about p1081
You have to take it to a Volvo dealer. They can look up the code in their database. Each radio has a unique code based on the serial number of the radio.
You can call or visit you local Volvo dealer to get a CT-503 code for serial number V0186011201011C.
