It depends on what computer it is, and what age it is. I would turn it off & leave it for a few days, and if it has not fixed itself take it in to where you got it.
How can you see the answer? YOUR SCREEN IS BLACK!
Reason for black screen:When the computer will not boot up, it sound like it is booting as the CPU fan is running and the lights are on. It also finds the CD ROM but it won't boot from a CD either.Sometimes when you have a computer black screen on startup and the power switch light will be green and then turns to orange or amber. Everything is running.Everything seems to be running but you can't see anything on the screen, not even a flashing cursor. Your black screen in Windows has occurred before the Windows logo screen.
i don't know about black, but i had an unforrtunate glitch with camstudio which made my screen flash different colours when i clicked the window called flashing (go figure =/ ) The only way to fix that was to restart my laptop, which isn't really good for it. Dunno about straight out black, but my flashing screen definitely had some black in it.
The computer screen could have becomed damaged and so might the computer.
If your computer screen goes black, the first thing to try is to turn your computer off, and then turn it on again. This allows the computer to re-boot.
If it asks you about a security warning push yes. Then it will load.
It is just part of the computer. It's not really part pf the screen
