Try to stick it back in as quickly as possible. If it hits the floor rinse it first. If it's fairly recent it will hurt, and sticking it back in will prolong the healing time, but it's better than having the piercing seal up.
Swelling is a normal reaction after a piercing, rinse with Listerine and do salt water soaks to avoid infection.
Get a second opinion from a different piercer. It sounds like whoever did it may have used a bar too short, if a new piercing doesn't have enough room to move around it can become embedded. It sucks having to have a larger piercing in your mouth but that's how it's done and anyone who performs an oral piercing and uses a short bar doesn't know what they're doing. If you have a long bar in and the skin is STILL growing over it, this could be a serious problem and I'd go see a doctor about it. (rejection in lip piercings happens towards the lip, not out away from the face)
It is also worth noting that lip piercings are one of a few that commonly "nest" meaning that the jewelry will press into the softer tissue (the inside of your lip in this case) and leave a small, temporary indention that the back rests inside of when you wear jewelry. If the skin is not folding or growing over the back of the stud, it doesn't get any worse with time, and there isn't any undue discomfort or pain, it is likely just doing this and is nothing to be alarmed about. If it does worsen or causes pain or discomfort, seek advice from a different, more qualified piercer, as this one's advice to "just keep popping it out" sounds like they have no clue what they're talking about.
Take out the jewelry, let it heal over, and get it professionally repierced. DIY tongue piercings are a terrible idea. You could have hit the veins and suffered from sever bleeding. Tongue piercing are also position so as not to rub on your teeth/gums too much so if your is visibly crooked, it probably isnt in a good placement for your teeth/gums. Just get it redone :)
It could mean one of two things. One it could just be acny...Two it could be what is called a keloid. It comes up usually right on the outside of a piercing. Looks like a whithead most of the time.. It is important to pop and drain immediately as soon as it comes up. Then clean with antibacterial soap thoroughly. It may come back the next day, if so, repeat popping and cleaning. If you do not get it out immediately it will harden and itwill never go away.
Actually check it is crooked. The face isn't symmetrical. I recently had my second lot of snake bites done essentially shark bites but one of them looks a little off. But on closer inspection it's actually my lip line that throws its off. If it is off its only off by the thickness of a hair. If it is too noticeable then take it out, let it heal and get it re done. It's your body, do what you think is best.
You could take it out and try again after it heals.
Take out the jewellery, let the piercing heal (2 weeks minimum) then go see a professional body piercer to have it done properly.
Your piercing is infected and you should remove it. You should go to a doctor to get a prescription so the infection goes away and so you do not get very sick.
The side you want it on, there are no left right rules for lip piercing.
his lip piercing is on his right side
A Monroe is the upper left lip and a Madonna is the upper right lip
You should go about 1/4 of an inch from the corner of your bottom lip on either side you wanted the piercing on. Then just a few centimeters from the lip itself. After piercing one whole, get the ring in before you try the next one. I advise you wait till the first one heals before trying to pierce the second hole. Which is suppose to be right next to the first. Make sure you align then right or it'll look funky.
Right and left lip is called Snake Bites, the center piercing is a labret piercing.
For your upper lip, Left is a monroe piercing. The bottom lip could just be a lip piercing, or labret piercing.
Two lower lip piercings, usually one of the left and one on the right so it looks like snake bites/fangs. Google image to see pics snake bites are lip piercings. One piercing is on the left side of your bottom lip and is close to the side of your mouth and the other piercing is to the right side of your mouth. Snake bites aren't like normal lip piercings. Snake bites are about a cm below your lip while a normal lip piercing is right up against your lip.
14g is normal for a male lip piercing, 16g is normal for a female lip piercing.
Yea,i have a lip piercing and it does that do its natural
Yes, a left lip piercing would look good with a Medusa. I have my Medusa, Snakebites, Septum, Right Nostril, etc... If anything, get more! :-)
I have personally done this before, i got my right lip piercing re-pierced in the exact same spot and no it doesn't hurt, it feels the same as getting your first lip piercing.
