i got a 1992 accord lx, and i went to a pick a par and look for the same car and year, so what u need to do is simple remove the one for ur car opened( care full cause they got a paste inside the sensor) so what u do is open that one that u get for tha pick a part, and change everything is inside to your speed sensor. sensor is located on top of transmission.
it is not a major thing that needs fixing but it will get you a few speeding tickets.(if it was a newer vehicle 96 and up with abs then you want to have that fix asap.)
I would suspect the speed sensor has gone bad.
Code 0715 is for an input shaft speed sensor circuit malfunction. Changing the speed sensor out for a new one should fix the issue.
Sounds like the speed sensor on the transmision, or the conector on same. It could also be an under dash fuse. I am not familar with the accord but my civic speed sensor fuse is shared with about four other sensors and the voltage regulator. Hope that helps.
You cannot repair an O2 sensor. Replace it.
what exactly is wrong?
around 500 dollars at dealership
The only fix is to replace it. If you are mechanicly inclined, this is a doable deal. Before you replace the sensor you should check the wiring for resistance you can use a volt/ohms meter (vom) and test the continuity of the wiring to the sensor.
Your speedometer is electronic and receives electric pulses from the speed sensor in the transaxle. First disconnect the battery and then locate the speed sensor in the transaxle. Remove it by loosening the 3 bolts while being extremely careful not to loosen the drive link. Replace in the opposite order and tighten bolts tightly.
That would depend on what problems you are having.
if i remimber they have a bleeder to get the air out on top by were the top hose hooks to the thermo housing. hope that wil fix it.
did you check the speed sensor on the side of the transmission?
