I had the same problem for almost a year and damaged both engine mounts and trans mount. The fix was simple. The throttle body was gummed up and sticking. Took it apart and cleaned it with carb and throttle body cleaner and no more sticking. Smoothest pedal in a year.
the butterfly tends to get gunked up. remove air intake assembly to get to throttle body butterfly. i used an old toothbrush and some carb cleaner on it to remove buildup.

The 1995 Mercury Villager turn signal relay switch is located beneath the drivers side dashboard. The turn signal relay switch will be left of the brake pedal.
