The most common reason for a misfire is the ignition coil that is connected to the sparkplug on top of the problem cylinder.
First, Thing you do is get the codes. Second, If it is a 4.6L change plug and wire, and if 5.4L Just change plug and coil pack.

This isn't a question. Find the cause of the miss and repair it.
What causes a misfire can be a number of things. But from what you are telling me, you may have water in your oil and maybe some bad gas inside your engine. If you have pumped in some bad gas, you may have a filed out the sparkplug at that #8 cylinder.
It could, depending on the cause of the misfire.

Check the spark plug and the wire on the 8th spark cylinder. Corosion, short, or just bad.

The engine cylinder locations are numbered : firewall 4 - 8 3 - 7 2 - 6 1 - 5 front I'm not a mechanic / technician but your misfire could be caused by a bad sparkplug , bad coil , fuel injector not allowing the proper air / fuel ratio , and maybe there are other causes of your misfire
Cylinder 8 misfire detected Often the front coil pack failing. Burning up the #8 sparkplug is a common indicator.
Flashing engine light on virually any vehicle almost always points to at least 1 cylinder misfiring. It usually is a P0300 - multiple random cylinder misfire code...but I've seen cases with a P0301 through P0308 (cylinder 1-8 misfire...or through 12 if you're lucky enough to have 12 cylinders lol).

With trans and converter empty, 9-10 qts.
More then likely you have some bad spark plugs are plug wires.I have seen the coils that are on top of the valve covers cause it too.You really need to have the engine scanned with a engine scanner to locate the problem. It could be any of the 8 cyclinders.
