What is the recipe for lentils?

This is a recipe for lentil soup. You can either use red or brown lentils.

Ingredients

• 1 large onion, chopped
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
• 1 teaspoon ground cumin
• 1 cup red lentils,rinsed
• 6 cups of chicken stock

method

1. Cook onion in oil with until soft

2. Add lentils, garlic, cumin and stock

3. simmer until lentils are very soft

It depends on what one is up to. For storing it at home for a year or so, clean it and mix castor oil. Per 10kg of lentils mix 100-150ml castor oil and store in dry place in a food grade cointaner. Even rice, wheat etc can be stored!
