To fix a burned out light on the driver's climate control switch in a 2002 Chevy Impala, you will need to access the climate control unit, remove it from the dashboard, and replace the light bulb with a new one. This may involve taking apart the center console to access the climate control unit. It's recommended to consult the vehicle's manual or seek professional help if you are unsure about the process.
More than likely the problem is with the climate control unit. Go to a salvage lot, get a replacement unit there (it will not be expensive) and replace the one in your car. I think you can simply pull the trim piece from around the climate control unit and then the unit has 4 screws holding it in place.
They can't be fixed. You have to change the radio. The climate control is the same way, You have to change the unit to get the light working.

Climate control blower motor was the fix. The part cost 441 dollars.
I just bought a 1994 Buick Roadmaster and the only thing that does not work is the the climate control. The climate control is not illuminating. I checked the fuses none of them were blown. Is there any kind of code or startup procedure I can do to troubleshoot it, please let me know how I can fix this.
If the climate control doesn't work on a Dodge Intrepid a faulty connection may be the issue. Re-soldering the connections, if they are lose, will fix the problem.
probably a defective blower motor. not really, the blower works at all times
very easy
The blower motor control unit is located on the back of the blower motor. 1. Check fuse. 2. Turn on heat and check for voltage at blower motor. Found voltage replace blower. 3. Check for supply power from the fuse on the red wire going to the blower control unit. 4. Check for a good ground on the black wire on the control unit. 5. Check for control power on the yellow wire from the climate control unit. When you select a fan speed (or the unit selects a speed in auto mode) a voltage that ranges from .4 - 9 volts is sent down the yellow wire to the blower motor control unit. 6. If all these checks are good than change the blower motor control unit. Hope this helps.
