Un-synchronized audio in a video of any length can be a true annoyance. The good news is that it's relatively easy to fix, both at the film-editing stage and as an end user. When editing a video, utilize the film making software's soundtrack tools to make sure that the audio synchs up (this procedure will vary depending on the software). If one simply wants to fix a botched soundtrack in a video or movie, there are open-source (free to download / use) software programs such as VirtualDub that make it an easy fix.

Try updating the program or download and install it again.
You may need a media player such as Windows Media Player, Quick Time, VLC etc. These programs are needed to open the video or audio files.
You have to either make your computer faster or you have to get out of the site and try again.

If you are talking about 'locking' tracks in Windows Movie Maker, there is no feature for doing that in the program. Other video editing software applications offer that feature, but not Windows Movie Maker.

Check to see if the device you're using is not faulty, and if ALSA and PulseAudio (if you haven't removed it) is currently using it as a default audio output device.
