Hi there
You have the YLOD
The problem is hardware failure internally
What you need is a PS3 REPAIR GUIDE http://www.ps3problemsgone.info
Imagine the solution to all your Console errors in one downloadable ebook. There quick easy to use and you will be back up and running in no time.
Or you can send it off to the manufacturer sony for $150 if no longer in warranty
Happy to help
Fixing the YLOD on the PS3 will cost $150.00.
To be honest .. Idk .. I had the YLOD on my ps3 because my sister charged her iPod over nice and then I send it to Sony to fix nd then I had an iPod touch and I want to play music then later It happen again with the YLOD ..
everything except the motherboard. I hope that you are aware that you can fix ylod your self by taking ps3 apart since you want to sell it anyway. And once you get to mother board you just resolder the cpu created soldering bridge or bridges and make it work again.
Not at all, if you fix it right. To actually fix it you have to remove the Harddrive and you just leave the motherboard. The only problem is if sony "accidentally" resets it if you send it in to them.
Many parts are still usable after YLOD and there are sites that repair YLOD for $99 if you have not done something trying to repair it yourself
Depends on how well its built, i had YLOD and i resoldered my CPU my self with high quality solder and it works for 3 years now my friend sent his in they gave him new one and its freezing all the time no YLOD yet so depends on how well its build You can fix YLOD by your self look up Gilsky video on YLOD on youtube step by step how to fix it Trust points greatly appreciated.
Yes Most games that were out then did work, but not without errors and other problems for some of the games. The next batch of models had even more problems and these were the first models in Europe see related link Before you think of running out to purchase the early PS3 model remember that they have no warranty and if sent to Sony for repair they will be replaced with a newer model if they can not be refurbished. A big word of caution the YLOD can and is routinely fixed. The fix will allow the PS3 to work for only a few months until the "Fix" is needed to be done again. see PS3 secrets related link for more on this quote: "However, if your PS3 has already had the YLOD, then you can reflow your motherboard every few months to keep it working (but it is not a permanent fix as the YLOD usually comes back)."
PS3 Slim Seems to be the same kinda, PS3 60g gets alot of YLOD's, ( Yellow Light Of Deaths).
keep your ps3 vents always clean and well maintained. Keep ps3 out of closed spaces so it wouldnt overheat.
No you cant!.
main problem comes from overheating, and when ylod appears then ps3 is dead. But there is a way for you to fix ps3 ylod problem, it is easy and simple just go to www.PS3LightsFix.net although I've never read whats on this link (it's most likely the same thing as what i did), i replaced the thermal paste and it started working again for about 2 days, i probably applied to much, don't lose hope
NO, I don't think the YLOD is ever a harddrive problem from what I have read so that is not a solution worth trying. There are a number of sites that discuss it and also YouTube videos.
