your rpm gauge works off your engin your speed gauge works off the transmission where the cable slides into the transmission tha plastic geer is probably stripped

The RPM gauge is connected to the same wiring on as all the lights on the dashboard. A faulty RPM gauge can be replaced but requires removing the whole dash from the vehicle.
If the vehicle is fuel injected, the RPM (revolutions per minute) is controlled electronically by the ECM (engine control module) and is not adjustable.
On my General Electric vcr, when i play a vhs tape in it, I can only see wavy lines that move around in all directions. I can record something but can' t see it afterwards on this player, but can see it on another player. What's wrong with the playing part of the vcr? and how can i fix it.
mass air flow sensor
First off, the correct terminology is tachometer, not RPM gage. And second, we do not have enough information on your problem to give you a proper diagnosis, thus we can not tell you how to fix it. My suggestion would be to see a mechanic.
how do fix overspeed problem on genorater
I Had a 1989 Pontiac that idled at 3500 rpm I changed the engine computer and fixed it
Chack the fuse. If it's not the fuse, it's a sensor.
To figure out how to fix it, you need to start by figuring out what exactly is wrong with it.
the p0507 is the idle control system (high rpm) basically your rev limiter which responds when your VSS (vehicle speed sensor is malfunctioning) causing the computer to think the engine is reving to high so it limits the throttle response limiting your rpm's (sense of no power when appying throttle)....hope this helps Arlen
