Sounds like you need to take it back to the shop if you have it on warranty. If not, you might have to pay to get it fixed.
but i cant you see i live on an island which doesn't have any apple shops or anything like that.
To fix a frozen ipod nano hold the "MENU" and CENTRE button. Hold for 5 seconds then release. Your ipod nano will go to the apple symbol then turn back to normal.
Something like hold down the menu button and the play button for like 10 seconds :)
hold down the menu button and the middle.
On your ipod toucch, you hold the circle button used to get to the main menu screen and the top rectangle button for about 10 seconds and this should fix your problem.
just reset it by holding menu and the centre button for around 6 seconds
It depends on what has happened to it
That all depends on what is wrong with it. If it is just because the iPod froze, turning it off (even if it means holding the power button for longer than usual) and back on is usually the best way to fix it.
12 dollars
Restart the ipod. Hold the menu and center button at the same time for 6 seconds. If that does not work... Take it back To the store.
if you don't have i tunes it won't detect. But if you do here are the most likely causes of it not being detected. 1.your iPod is not responding here is a way to fix this for other iPod types that arent iPod nano just look in the online manual that can be found at apple.com. For nano turn the lock on then off and then hold down the menu button and centre button for 10 seconds. 2.Itunes might not be responding properly so close it and open it again if it still doesn't work restart your computer. If all else fails uninstall itunes then install it again If none of the above work contact your local apple dealer.
try restarting the ipod by holing down the center button
you can't restore ipods without iTunes. but if your meaning to reset the ipod try pressing the middle button and the menu button the same time.
