While Mordred's hovercraft runs on manure, the saucer is advanced technology. It has a green fuel rod that has been broken. You need to get a replacement fuel rod. For the procedure, see the related question. Setting the coordinates, you will find that none of the planets is in range. Go to the moon mentioned on Mordred's missing journal page, at X-56 Y-52.
You have to fix the saucer by obtaining a new fuel rod. There is one in the robot invader held in the dungeon. Once it is replaced, you can dial in the coordinates to launch the saucer. (see related questions)

Go to the crashed saucer. You will see that it needs a new fuel rod, and there is a place to enter the coordinates to outer space locations. If you fix it and get the X and Y numbers you need, you can fly into space.
