What do you mean? When does this happen. I have a Malibu '02 and the horn will blow if one of my electric lock buttons are stuck up or down. This will cause it to honk if I put the car in park.
Chevrolet made the Malibu from 1964 to 1983 then from 1997 to present. Maybe you could narrow that question down a bit to the model year your Malibu is.
Yes it is as it is to keep the noise level down.
remove trim around switch ( it just pops off ) then remove the hold down bolts, push in at an angle a bit then pull it out. but unhook battery negative cable first ! then remove the connector for the wires.
PUT YOUR KEY IN THE IGNITION AND TURN IT TO THE LEFT WITHOUT PUSHING DOWN ON THE KEY.PUSHING DOWN ON THE KEY LOCKS THE STEERING .
Either you have a bad battery or you have something draining it down overnight.
turn off radio, hold up or down arrow until it beeps. down is for hour and up is for minute.
Assuming you mean O2 sensors, the 2004 Chevrolet Malibu with the 2.2L engine has two O2 sensors, one upstream (before the cat) and one down stream (after the cat).
on 2000 3.1 it is on passengers side between engine and firewall, about 1 foot down..
My wife's car does the same thing. We have narrowed it down to a worn ignition switch.
I dont belive you can; it may have stretched, so I would suggest you replace it before it breaks and locks your hood down.
The fuel filter should be replaced every 2 years. It is possibly stopped up.
