I also have wavy hair, so i like to use a straightening iron (i recommend Braun) and i think its really pretty just to straighten your bangs or the front hair...
If you prefer a more natural way, just comb your hair back into a really tight pony tail (while its still wet) and then put on more ponytail holders all down the rest of your hair.
You can't blow it completely straight but it will be quite straight with flicky bits. What I do is I blowdry my hair downwards an use a comb to help flatten it. I have quite curly/wavy hair and it does help
