I'm a shy person so i had this problem too, what i did was just be really interested in every thing they had to say, when they said they didn't like the way they looked just told them why i thought they looked good and added some smiley and winky faces. It's not much but it still works, and if the other person flirts back it makes it so much easier to flirt with them. Just experiment and only do what your comfortable doing, maybe try to something a little more flirty then your used to because that will get your confidence up.
