if he is a jock then make funny jokes [usually they like jokes about sex(thats what she said etc)]

you cannot have a set way to flirt with anyone, everyone is different and as such respond to different things. For instance if you were very upfront and obvious with your flirting you might come across as being 'slutty' or 'easy' also your forwardness could drive the boy away. On the other hand if your being very subtle then some people either do not interpret the signals right or infact they feel confused by all the messages that they think you may or may not be sending them.- you have to keep in mind that our teen years are very complicated, im not sure how it works with girls, but for boys most of our teen lives are dominated by the desire to have sexual relationsionships with people! Now if you really want to flirt with a boy you have to make it obvious to him that you are interested in being with them. (note that you do not want to appear to be interested in having sex with them) it also helps to establish a physical connection with boys, so a hug, a hand on their arm or shoulder(depending whether your sitting or standing) or some other subtle contact, also you have to be willing to pay attention to them and only them when your trying to flirt. Girls getting taught to play 'hard to get' often just drives the boys away. But above all when you flirt make sure that it is innocent, you never want to come across as being obvious as that can give off the wrong impression especially to a boy of 17.Then once you've established your flirting let them respond and take it from there depending on how far you want to take your flirting to.
