There are a number of tutorials starting with a mirolight and continuing through with a virtual tutor. Its really well worth the time taking the tutorials as they really do help

There are various ways in which you can play FSX. You can play just with a keyboard and mouse. However I don't recommend using the arrows keys to control your airplane. If you don't have a joystick, getting one will be a great idea. In the meantime you can use the mouse. You can also play in FSX multiplayer and fly with others that live around the world in real time, as well as talk to them via a microphone.

On the website of the flight simulator ( Microsoft ) , their is an free demo with 4 airplanes and a part of the world where you can fly in ( carraibes ) . If you want the full version, you need to pay for it, but if you like , you can add more planes into your demo by flight simulator addons ( just type in google "fsx addons")

There is one mission in fsx called "secret shuttle" where you fly from Las Vegas to Groom Lake (Area 51). As you are coming into land at Groom Lake (Area 51) you see a UFO fly pass and nearly hit you! :) - There are some modelers who have created superb UFOs and craft from many of the big name sci fi films. These are available o a range of download sites dedicated to Flight Simulator.
