Fold the soft top down, Remove 4 torx bolts from the bows and remove them from the brackets on the roll cage. Pull the entire top away from the vehicle to the rear.
to lower the top, no, they will fold up, but to avoid creasing the windows it is good to remove them first
pull the pin on the tension arm on the bows to release tension on the top, then pull down on all the sides to release it from the mounting groove, the same groove keeps the top on the windshield, then just fold it all down.
Yes, you can fold it down, but you have to remove some large screws firt, not hard though
To fold down a CJ7 soft top, first, ensure the windows are removed or unzipped for ease. Then, unclip or unlatch the top from the windshield frame and pull it back. Next, fold the top down towards the rear of the vehicle, tucking it under the rear bow if applicable. Finally, secure the folded top with any provided straps or fasteners to prevent it from flapping while driving.
It depends on if you have a factory soft top or after market (like Bestop). But they should be similar- remove the side & rear windows, then remove the canvas top & fold the frame. If it is factory, look for an owner's manual for your Jeep or look on manufacture's website for directions. I was able to download a user's manual for my Bestop from their site.
