Well when getting over an ex it can be hard and forgetting their number can be even harder so these are my suggestions:
1.) If you keep a phone/address book mark out his number and address unless your really good friends with him.
2.) you could call one of your friends alot and get so used to their number than you'll probably forget.
or.
3.) you can just not call him just because you remember his number doesn't mean you have to call him.

Some girls are just too scared to ask. Here is some things you can try: If you have a cell phone, you can call or text him. Ex. I forget, what is your home number again? I don't think you ever told me. You can leave him a note in a place where he checks everyday(backpack, by his cell phone, etc.). If you have collar ID, you could ask him to call you by his home phone(incase you miss the phone when he calls or you can copy it down more easly) Just plain ask him.

People today are so into technology that they forget there are home phones so look the exes number up in the phone book or phone the operator and ask if there is a listing. You can go to the Internet and put the person's name in and see if you can acquire a phone number that way. If the phone has a private number then there is not much you can do unless you can find the private number out from one of his friends or one of your own friends.
