The quickest way would be to insert microSD card into an SD adapter, plug it into some card reader, then stick it into the comp and use regular "format it" command from whitin windows explorer (right click onto memory card and select format...)
to format the sd card, I assume you install it in the computer and you run XP - just open a windows explorer window, select the disk where the sd card has been installed and rightclick and select format. Please choose the appropriate values there - if you want to format a card that has more than two gigs, you might need to change from FAT to something better, but the process is pretty similar.

As far as I know, you just insert your SD memory card into your computer/laptop and follow the instructions. Be forewarned, it will erase all your data on that memory card, so do anything you can to save it somewhere.

You need a micro sd adapter, which is a regular sd card with a slot so you can plug in the micro sd, so you can then attach it to your computer or laptop and format it(my computer-->right click on the card --->format)
To format the micro SD card on phone, the phone user has to open the device's storage settings. The user can then choose the format SD section to format all the data on the SD card.

You don't, this does not have built in sd card reader. You need to get a usb sd card reader, then you put the sd card into the card reader, then plug the card reader into your usb slot.
First, get a Micro SD to SD adapter. Next, get an SD card reader. Put the Micro SD card in the adapter, and put the adapter in the card reader. Now, connect the card reader to your computer and take the data off the card. Once the data is off the card, put the Micro SD card back in your phone, and format the card. Put the Micro SD card back in the adapter, and put the data back on the card.
take out the SD put it in your computer, then format it there.

No.
I hope you don't have the card in it, The computer does not see the holder, only the card. I don't know if your PC has a sd card slot, or your using a reader. But if you have the micro card in the card holder and you put it in the PC or a reader and it does not see the micro card, the reader, card holder, or micro card could be bad. Did you format the card, if you formatted the card with windows and used the wrong format, you killed it, and its no good. If you use any card,sd, mini, micro, in anything such as a cell phone or anything like this, you use the devise to format the card, never use windows to format the card. If you want, you just erase the card , that is, you delete the files off the card, DO NOT FORMAT the card just to remove what is on it. So, the computer does not see a holder, a reader, it only see's the card when it is in a holder or a reader. To answer your main question.
The card is broken. Buy a new one.
Press OK (menu)..Settings..Memory Info...Card Memory....Format Card
go to disk utility and you have the option to erase there
There isn't a certain sd card for it. The sd card is called a micro sd card. These are usually found at stores that sell phones because phones ONLY take micro sd cards. if you want a regular sd card and You have a micro sd card, there is a thing called a micro sd card adapter that you can slide in your dsi and insert the micro.
