It is beyond the systems capability and you connect to the 1080 P HDTV with a Standard 480i input.
Are you joking? everything about it is better! NOT The PS2 can only say it is cheaper it losses in everything else that matters. If you can afford to have a PS3 then you will never regret replacing the PS2 with a PS3. If you already have a 1080P Large Screen HDTV you are well past when you should have replaced the PS2
Yes. It plays Dvd's, games, and movies. If you have a HDMI connection to a 1080P HDTV it will upscale the DVDs to near 1080P
Yes. PS2 is better than the ORIGINAL Xbox The PS2 is still being made and sold more than 10 years after it's release. It has sold over 150 million consoles and 1.5 billion software titles worldwide. Xbox on the other hand lived a very short life as a console. In the foreign markets like Japan it's withdrawal from the market was hardly noticed as sales were so poor.
No the emulator does not work with the PS2, it uses the PS2 Bios
Yes it is on PS2
You can play a ps2 game on a ps3, assuming that the ps3 is one of the older versions that were first released before they took it out in the newer ones. Just pop any ps2 game in your ps3 to see if you have the right one. And no, a ps2 game cannot run at 1080p graphics as the ps2 was not capable of it, so the in game models and textures are not rendered for such high resolutions. But really, who needs them?
Yes the PS2 was released 11 years ago and is nearing the end of it's life cycle. New games are not being developed for the system at the rate of the newer systems. The PS2 does not have a harddrive and does not play in 1080p like the PS3. The main advantage of the PS2 over the PS3 is that it is cheaper, but it lacks the technological advances of the PS3.

you need a HDMI cable and 1080P media like a Blue ray disc and a HDTV with 10080P capabilities before you will receive full 1080P. For example most HD TV programing is only 720P and will not be in full 1080P on a 1080P HDTV and a TV show in 480i standard will be in 480i on a 1080P HDTV
1080P is the highest quality HDTV.
the one that plays 1080p
Yes the PS3 supports 1080P when it is connected to a 1080P HDTV with the correct connection cables. The blu-ray disc plays movies at 1080P when played on the PS3 to my HDTV. The PS3 also upscales DVDs to near HD quality with amazing results. In order to fully support 1080p you do need to have a 1080p capable HDTV connected to the PS3 with HDMI or component cables.
One can buy a 1080p television at the store Target, for example. One should keep in mind that a 1080p television does not improve ones viewing experience unless one has access to video content shown in 1080p.
Negative, no networks broadcast in 1080P yet, it does 720P and 1080i
Currently, 1080p is the highest commonly available and useful television resolution. New formats are under consideration, but 1080p is the highest current standard.
