trade from emerald
You can't catch it in Pokemon Diamond or Pearl. You have to transfer it via Pal Park from Pokemon Emerald, Leaf Green, or Fire Red. Before you do this, however, you need to have a national Pokedex in both games, and have a Cyndaquil in the GBA game. This is somebody else. I know theres an action replay code to get cyndaquil in diamond becuz i have chikorita ad totodile.
If you don't have it in Leaf green or Fire Red trade one.And if you don't you can't get one!You need pokemon emerald. once you compete the hoenn dex(see all 200/202 pokemon) then prof. oak will call you on your poke'nav and say he has a surprise for you. you go to his lab and you can choose, totodile, cyndaquil or chikorita, this is the only way besides hacking and cheating or trading with someone who has done that, to get the gold & silver(johto) starters.you cant
You can't get Totodile in Pokemon Leaf Green Version. Totodile is a Johto Pokemon, while Leaf Green is a Kanto version. The starter water Pokemon in Leaf Green and Fire Red is Squirtle. I don't think you can even get Totodile in a trade.
Chikorita
You cant. You cant.

In Pokémon HeartGold, Professor Elm will give you a choice of Chikorita, Cyndaquil or Totodile who will be your Starter Pokémon however during the game Professor Oak will give you a choice of Bulbasaur, Squirtle or Charmander which were the Starter Pokémon choices for Pokémon Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, FireRed and LeafGreen. Steven Stone will also give you a choice of treeko, Mudkip or Torchic which were the choices Professor Birch gave you for Starter Pokémon in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald.

you cant get totodile in Pokemon soul silver on your own.i have cyndaquil(now a typhlosion) as my starter in Pokemon soul silver and my friend has a totodile(now a fraligater)in heart gold so you have to trade with your friend for it.By the way you can get charmender squirtle and bulbasuar off professer oak when you defeat Red(in MT silver)(you can only get one of them) and you can get mudkip and the gang first you have to complete red go to Pokemon club in vermillion the go to saffron city then go to silph.co a guy will be there hell ask you which shard do you want each colour represents a starter example red shard=torchic blue=mudkip and green=chickorita
How to Get TotodileTo get a Totodile in Pokemon Pearl you must have Pokemon Emerald on hand. I know it will be hard, but you have to obtain all 202 Pokemon in Emerald. Once you do, Professor Birch will call you on the Pokenav and tell you he wishes to see you. When you visit his lab, he will allow you to have one of the three Johto Starter Pokemon. Choose Totodile, put it in your PC, save the game, shut the game off, turn on Pokemon Pearl, go to Pal Park, and transfer Totodile over from Emerald. You can also cheat using the action replay.HOW TO GET TOTODILE no you do not need emerald you can use fire red or leaf green just see all 150 kanto Pokemon then go to pro. oak then he will give you a chickorita, totodile or Cyndaquil, then put the Pokemon you chose in you PC with 5 other Pokemon to migrate. or it will not migrate.....R u Serious? prof. oak does not give you those starters
Actually you can't get one on pearl or diamond. The only way(s) to get one is if you have Pokemon Emerald and for starters choose Chikorita and raise it to a Bayleef then migrate it over to your pearl version then catch it at Pal Park.Or I think you can use AR(Action Replay) or some kind of cheat, but I don't cheat so I wouldn't know.sorry...well I hope I helped(:
You cannot find Feraligatr in Pokémon Diamond however you do have the option of trading with another player that might have started with Totodile in Pokémon HeartGold or Pokémon SoulSilver additionally if you have Feraligatr in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen or Emerald then you can use Diamond's Pal Park feature in order to migrate it over into the game so that it will now be in Diamond however once it has been migrated over it cannot be returned to Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen or Emerald.
