How do you get Groudon in Pokemon Emerald?

Im having the same problem but if you have Pokemon ruby then do the same way, how you catched groudon in ruby then do it how you normally do it in ruby in emerald. But if you don't ruby then catch it by putting it to sleep and use a master ball if you have one or ultra ball,preimer ball,or great ball. Catch groudon in terra cave.You can catch groudon by talking to the guy in the weather institute after you get team whatever out of there. if he says it's really sunny its groudon. if he says it's rainy it's kyogre. go to the route he says and look for a cave or dive spot that's not usually there. go in it and follow it to the end and voila. there is kyogre or groudon!
A: Actually, you go to the weather institute (place where you got Castform) and you go to the top floor and talk to the scientist. He will say that there is either a drought (Groudon) at a certain route or a flood (Kyogre) at a certain route. So you want to head over to the certain route (very well prepared, with tons of healing and catching supplies) and look for a cave that wasn't there before. Groudon's cave is usually very close to the cave that links Rustborough with Verdanturf (to the right of the cave entrance on a cliff), and you should be able to tell if you're close, because it'll all of a sudden get very, very, sunny in that area. It's the same with Kyogre, except that Kyogre is on a different route and it's raining very heavily near the cave entrance. Actually, Kyogre's entrance might be a dive area, but it could still be a cave. But still bring a ton of supplies. go to the wheter instiutte after you beat the elite four and talk to the profesorr you saved (the one that gave you castform) then first he tell you that it has starnge wheter somewhere and he tell you the route go to that route and you find first kyogre after that talk to him again and he says where groudon is. AFTER YOU BEAT THE ELITE FOUR, GO TO THE WEATHER INSTITUTE. INSIDE SOMEONE WILL TELL YOU EITHER A CERTAIN ROUTE HAS VERY SUNNY WEATHER OR VERY RAINY WEATHER. THE ROUTE THAT HAS VERY SUNNY WEATHER HAS A CAVE CALLED THE TERRA CAVE WHERE GROUDON IS. GO THERE IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU TAKE TOO LONG TO GET THERE, GROUDON WILL MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE. You have to get it in a trade. Go to the weather Institute, and go upstairs. On the far LEFT ( <-- ) there will be a guy at a computer, talk to him. He'll say something like "odd weather in route ... " then go to route ... . it will be extra sunny, and there will be an unsuall cave there. Go in the cave.

Before you go in the cave, duplicate your master ball so you don't have to waste hours on catching kyorge. If you don't know how to duplicate Pokemon/ items read on here: Go to batle tower, empty all your Pokemon into bank EXCEPT 2 (any 2 will work) make sure your second pokie is holding a masterball. deposit your second pokie in an empty box, then save the game. After saving take him out of the empty box and GO TO THE LADIE ON THE FAR RIGHT!!! ( --->) THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT! then enter the challenge, level 50, or open level will work. There will be a long pause BEFORE you save. AFTER THE LONG PAUSE DONT NOT HIT "YES" OR "NO" JUST TURN OFF THE GAME! then turn it back on and a cloned Pokemon will be in the empty box and in your inventory.

Before you fight groundon, if you don't have a masterball, SAVE YOUR GAME BEFORE YOU FIGHT HIM!! there is a high chance of you killing him you don't have a masterball! So by 50 ultra, 30 nest, and 30 timer balls.

You cannot capture a Groudon in Pokemon Emerald because it is a legendary Pokemon and is impossible to capture due to the fact that it only appears onces and is fighting with Kyogre.
